Wednesday Evening Schedule
Our Wednesday schedule is as follows: Dinner is served from 5:30-6:10 pm, and the suggested donation is $4 each or $12 for a family. Our dinner menu for Wednesday, October 18, is soup, sandwich, and cookie. Awana for kids, youth group, and adult electives all meet from 6:30-7:45 pm. More info for adult electives here.
Our annual indoor fall festival will be held Sunday, October 29, at 6:00 pm. There are lots of carnival games with candy prizes for the kids, free food for all, and this year a coffee vendor will be on hand with fall drinks for purchase. All ages are welcome to come for the fun, and family-friendly costumes are encouraged. Contact Lauren (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information or to volunteer.
Men4Life Bible Study
Men4Life hosts a weekly Bible study on Tuesdays in Room 101, from 7:00-8:00 pm. The study is called A Man and His Traps. Contact Damon Waterhouse, Phil Gallagher, or the church office for more information.
Want More Info About Life?
The third What’s Up at Life class meets October 22 at 9:00 am in Room 101 for those who want to learn more about Life or who are interested in membership. New members will be introduced in the 10:00 am service. Childcare is available during the class by contacting the church office at 875-2300.
Awana Hayride and Outdoor Night
Awana will have outdoor fun on Wednesday, October 18, from 6:30-7:45 pm with a hayride, snacks, and playground fun. Snack donations would be appreciated. Contact Michelle Kapper or the church office if you can help out.
We will be honoring all veterans on Sunday, November 12, in our morning services. Please submit a photo, branch, and years of service to the church office if you haven’t already done so.
We are collecting donations for our 3rd annual KidsGiving project. This year we ask that you would donate new or gently used winter wear for elementary age students. All donations will be given to students at French Academy in Decatur. Donations will be accepted in the Atrium from October 29-November 19.
Christmas Parade Float Brainstorming Meeting
If you enjoy brainstorming and have some creative ideas to help plan for a float for the Christmas parade, please attend a meeting on Sunday, October 22, following the 10:00 am service in the Café. The theme is “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Contact Starla Street or the church office if you have questions.
GriefShare is a special weekly class and support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them. The group meets Sundays at 6:00 pm through November, and you are welcome to begin attending at any time. History of Ancient Israel (Joshua-Nehemiah) Class
Want to grow, be enriched, fellowship, and learn? On Monday nights through November, Pastor Steve Hohm teaches this class in Room 101-102 from 6:30-8:30 pm. There is no cost for the class, but you can order a textbook if desired (Encountering the Old Testament–3rd Edition by Bill T. Arnold and Bryan E. Beyer). Dig deep into God’s Word and find application for today!
